Pennsylvania... FINALLY!

Wow... I am really not doing so hot with this whole blogging thing :/ It has truly been FOREVER since I last posted and I am so very sorry!  My life got just a little crazy once Ali and I got back from Pennsylvania and that is why the blog is so late. Anyway, enough excuses! Here are just 'some' photos from our super great trip to visit my sister and BIL up in Bucks County, PA :)

We actually left the airport the same time Momzie and Auntie Juju left for Alaska!

Squirt and I found our gate and got some lunch before we boarded the plane and headed to Philly!!

As soon as we got in the car, Catherine had goodies for us! Skittles for Squirt and these yummy things for me :)

The first night we just chilled at home and watched the Waltons. It was so fun to just spend time with my sister and enjoy reminiscing over old memories :)

Her front porch was my favorite place in her whole house! I would read and do my devotions out there every morning.

On Wednesday, we went to Sight and Sound in Lancaster, PA.... and it was UNBELIEVABLE!!

It was their Moses production and it was the best Bible story, theater production I have ever seen! If you haven't heard about them, definitely go check them out- Sight & Sound - and next time you are in the Lancaster area, you should go see one of their productions!

Catherine and Dave and Squirt and me waiting for it to start!

The sisters!! So thankful for the time I got to spend with them!

This was the burning bush scene... amazing!

The finale!! Spectacular!

During intermission, my sister's friend who works there texted and said that he could give us a backstage tour after the show! It was so cool!! The sets were so much bigger than they seemed!

Thursday morning, Catherine and I were able to have a much needed coffee date and it was so nice :)

Thursday night Catherine had to work :( So, Squirt and I went with my BIL to help him clean up his youth group room at church. Squirt painted and I organized closets! We got ice cream out of the deal, so I consider it a fair trade ;)

My morning once again :) This was Friday morning and Catherine had just come back from night shift at the hospital so she went right to bed.

My BIL was SO sweet and took Squirt and I to Washington's Crossing and New Hope! I was just a little excited about these two places! Oh, and the shoes, those are Ali's and my ideas of good walking shoes ;)

Washington's Crossing

Dave paid for us all to do the guided tour of the site... it was super cool! This guy knew a ton about it all!

After the tour, we ate lunch at the park over-looking the place where Washington crossed... That's Jersey across the water ;)

Our little picnic lunch... yum!

New Hope (Jersey side)

This was such a fun little chocolate shop. Squirt and I couldn't resist buying a piece to try... That rainbow one was Ali's and it was weird! But it looked freaken cool!

Crossing the bridge back over into Pennsylvania! I was in two states at the same time!

We walked around New Hope for a while and then it was ice cream time! This little shop was so cute and the ice cream was crazy good.

11 years ago my grandma and I came to New Hope and we ate at this restaurant... so sad that it's no longer there. I couldn't believe I had found the place we ate at so long ago!

Saturday morning Catherine had just gotten home from another night shift and so Ali and I went over to their pastor's house to hangout with the pastor's wife and kids. I love the church family my sister has in PA and my time with Mrs. Miller was so great. When Catherine woke up, I went back home to hang out and we left Ali there to play longer. The picture above is of a HUGE piece of plastic that we set up at the church Saturday evening for an event the next day. It was a water slide... SO fun!

After we finished at the church, we picked up Squirt from the Millers and headed home for dinner. Dave grilled these amazing shish-kabobs and corn...

YUM!! I ate way too much of all of this!

After dinner, it was time for dessert... and this place did not disappoint!

Ok... so this was called a Whirlwind... I think... anyway, it was cappuccino crunch and cookies and cream mixed with brownies... Heaven in a cup! SO good!!

Sunday was our last day there and we spent it around the breakfast table that morning and at their church for service. I am so thankful for the time I got to spend with these incredible siblings! I love them all so much!!

The sisters!! We look more and more alike the older we all get... it's scary and cool all at the same time :)

Once church was over, Catherine took us to the airport and we decided to just get lunch once we got through security. This was Ali's mexican salad. It was really good, but spicy!

And this was my burrito... also really good, but huge so I actually didn't finish it all.

Waiting for our flight... She is such a goof! Wonder where she gets it from?? ;)

Our flying snacks...

We didn't have any entertainment on this flight so we had to entertain ourselves... :)

She is too cute and was such a great travel partner!

Love taking cloud photos from the air... so magical and wonderful!

Daddy flew in from Florida the same day we flew home, so he just waited till we got in to head home. On our way home there was a terrible accident on the other side of the road and the traffic was stopped for at least 3 miles... I felt so bad for all those people waiting...

Pennsylvania was a great trip, even though it was fast, and I am so thankful for the time and money that Jesus gave us to be able to go.

Whew... that was a crazy long blog... I am now feeling more settled into a routine and am hoping to be more regular with this since I truly do love doing it.... :)

With much love,
LoLo
