Little Bit of Everything

Wow! Can't tell you how excited I am for this Sunday's road trip to Disney! We are leaving the house at 5am so we can get there in time for me to watch the final World Cup game! I have watched the last couple games and am so excited to see if Germany or Argentina end up earning the next

 World Cup title!!

       

I have always thought about the amount of sacrifices and dedication it takes to preform at their level. I know that their family and friends have to be very understanding and supportive of there career choice. My heart does hurt for Brazil because of what happened in their last game with Germany! They had a bad game and lost and that's all it was. I have seen some very disrespectful things on the social media, and that's not the way to respond to a team that is already dealing with a hard loss. Anyways, off my soap box ;) I am so excited to see the final and then spend all Monday at Disney World!

     I have never been to Disney before and I am already feeling like a little kid! We are planning on spending from 9am-midnight at Magic Kingdom, and then road tripping it home on Tuesday afternoon. I will also be leaving for Blueberry Mt (my Dad's camp in ME)  to be a Chef for 3 weeks on the 17th. I am so excited because one week is a specialty camp week and my whole family will be together for the first time in two years!
 

Got to spend this morning with my sweet little sister (not biological but could be)!! We got to have breakfast at Chick-fil-A and just talk about life. Then I dropped her off at the skating rink after a quick stop home because I accidentally spilled my Dr. Pepper all over her... she was a good sport, I just felt really bad! LoLo and I went shopping for food for the road trip and picked up other last min things, and now we are READY TO GO!!!!!

2 Days till Disney!

I can't believe that Lil' Chef and I head to Disney World on SUNDAY! We are so crazy excited! This week has been full of craziness and getting stuff ready for our road trip and Disney adventures. 

On Monday, we went to a huge mall near us that has a Disney store so that we could get 'souvenirs' before we got there :) We will show you later what we ended up getting! 

We were just slightly excited to be going to this store!

On Tuesday morning, I went and celebrated this little one's 4th birthday! This is one of the Q kids {I have been babysitting them for 7 years, so I definitely call them 'my kids' now :)} She had a breakfast and painting themed party and Momma Q did an outstanding job with everything!

This is Wednesday morning.... Daddy had scheduled my hair and nail appointment for Wednesday at 10a :) This is the before shots of my hair. {please ignore the slightly frightening face I have going on here... } 

Excited to finally get this hair cut! 

Then it was nail time... I have a photo, but we are doing Lil' Chef's nails tonight and I wanted to post nail photos together... Yes, I am a weirdo like that.

After! And a day later, but it's so nice and it feels so much lighter. Lots of layers and about an inch off the bottom. 

Today! Yesterday both LC and I got new iPhone 5s... they are SWEET! So Lil' Chef has been having so much fun taking photos... AND she now has an Instagram! Today we did our last minute running around for our little trip. 

All of our snacks to take on the road. We budgeted $40 for everything and we spent $39.65! We are just that good :) 

And this is LQ again. I babysat just her and AQ last night and so we went on a walk... and they are just too cute for me not to post photos of them! This little girl is so full of life and just loves to stop and have every adventure she sees. 

This is little AQ ... she is seriously the cutest ever and she did so well on our walk. 

Tonight LC and I are doing our nails and getting clothes washed and ready. I am ready and so excited to leave on Sunday! Be ready for lots of photos on our Instagrams!

LoLo

24... What?!

So, I turned 24 yesterday... When did that happen?! It's all good though because I love being in my 20s, and I don't believe it is terrible at all to get older (just to feel old, but that's just a choice ;)). 

Anyway, it was a wonderful and relaxing day! I am so blessed to have the family I have and the people in my life that love me so much. 

Here's my day in photos- 

It's totally normal to start off your birthday with a rice crispy treat for breakfast! 

This happened right after the rice crispy treat breakfast thing... ;) Starting my morning off with a workout is one of my favorite things! 

{p.s. if you don't know who the Shaytards are... go look them up on YouTube! They are my favorite internet family of all time!}

Took some time in the afternoon to just sit and read. Such a marvelous thing!

Then... It was party time!!! Lil' Chef and my sis Meg's bought this cake for me! {now before you go asking why Lil' Chef didn't make it... it was easier and cheaper to go this route this year. Maybe next year she'll make it for me!}

PRESENTS!!!!! Best. Part. Ever!

My family is so generous! I got books from my momzie and two gift cards to Ulta from my daddy!! He asked what I wanted and I told him, "Make-up, nail polish, and a hair cut." :) So, on that peach gift card he even set up and paid for a hair appointment for me as well as paid for me to get my nails done. He's the best daddy ever!

My baby sister got me this. It is such a sweet gift! I recently got contacts again and this is a little travel case for them that is easy to carry solution in for emergencies! 

Lil' Chef and I ended the day with laying out on the trampoline and star gazing. It was a perfect night to just lay under the stars and talk about everything weighing on your heart! 

Well... the chatting about deep stuff came after the craziness of trying to take a photo with a flash in the pitch dark... definitely felt blinded for a whole 3 seconds!

Hey, at least our eyes are open... even if I do look slightly terrified...

This little booger stayed out there with us the whole time. He's such a precious kitty!

Thank you to everyone who made my birthday so very special. I am so thankful to have the best family ever and the most amazing friends anyone could ask for! I love you all so much and I am excited to see what the next 24 years bring!

4th of July Fun

HAPPY 4^TH of July Everyone!

Today I am so thankful for our freedom, and that only comes because of all of our men and woman who fight so hard for our country! I love that we have the freedom to celebrate today with family and friends! Lolo and I were put in charge of the food for the day, while the rest of the family did some work on the farm. We came up with a menu, and also got the shopping taken care of. It’s so much fun to go on a shopping trip with your best friend, just saying ;). The night before, I marinated all the meat (chicken and steak), and Lola made rice crispy treats. I was really excited about the marinate because it smelled so good!!!

Then the morning of the 4^th , we both got right to work! We made breakfast, picked blueberries, cut up all the veggies (pineapple, zucchini, squash, onion, garlic, mushrooms, and bell pepper), and then we started assembling all the kabobs. We did steak, kielbasa, and chicken kabobs, and then marinated some of the veggies in olive oil and salt and pepper to just grill up. Now that the prep work was all done we headed out to the pool to have some fun! We wasted no time to get in the pool and relax after a busy morning. All our hard work definitely paid off when it came to dinner time! Everything was so delicious that after dinner everyone was content and just lounged around to let all the food settle in.

 Over all it was a great day filled with work, friends, fun memories, and a lot of food ;)  

Now it is time to get ready to have some fun celebrating Lolo's birthday!!!!

Cleaning Frenzy

On Tuesday of this week, Lil' Chef and I decided to go through our closets with no mercy. It has been needing to be done for some time now,  but we never got around to doing it.... Well as you can see, we had way more clothes than we needed and we ended up getting rid of almost HALF of the clothes in the closet! It feels so good when you can pull everything out, go through it, re-organize it, give stuff away, and then put all your kept stuff back in a neat and clean fashion. Ah... One of the best feelings ever!  

This was the room after our closet threw up in it. So. Many. Clothes!! 

My clothes after I was finished going through them... Left side = keep. Right side = Goodwill! Feeling pretty proud of myself! 

While we had everything out of the closet, we put baking soda on the carpet to pull odors out. We left it for about an hour and then came back and vacuumed it all up. It's great!

Our hanging clothes.... I so badly wish I had a 'before' photo of this part. It was a mess and super crowded. 

I wish I had a before of this also. It was worse than the hanging clothes! 

Quick Tip: buy a towel rod to hang scarves on in your closet. I bought this at target or walmart and it holds several of our most-worn scarves!! It's wonderful! 

Our lists of items we gave away.... It was two black trash bags full!! Crazy! The closet now feels spacious, clean, and organized and I love it that way! 

This weekend is the Fourth of July!!!! One of my favorite holidays! I am excited to cookout with the family and enjoy being proud to be an American! I hope you all have a great holiday weekend and that you have some amazing cookouts as well :)
